NHS App
There are monthly drop-in sessions for patients across Barking & Dagenham in the Barking Learning Centre to have 1-2-1 sessions with NHS app facilitators to learn how to use the NHS App. This includes ordering Repeat Prescriptions and Online Consultations as well as other features and information. please see link below: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/895180899167?aff=oddtdtcreator

Healthy Start Scheme
Introduction
The NHS Healthy Start scheme helps families and pregnant people on low incomes to get healthy food, milk and vitamins.
Healthy Start Scheme is a program that provides a pre-paid card to eligible applicants to help them purchase healthy food, milk and vitamins.
Barking and Dagenham have low uptake with approximately 50% of eligible women and families not claiming.
Eligibility
• Be at least 10 weeks pregnant
• Have at least one child under 4 years
• Have low family income
• Be on certain benefits
• NRPFs
• If you’re under 18 and more than 10 weeks pregnant, you qualify for Healthy Start until your baby is born. You do not need to receive any of the qualifying benefits or be getting tax credits.
